How it works
The patented Therm-eau technology by Heau provides instant hot water from the start by storing heat from the previous shower inside the tap for multiple days.

TECHNICAL

There are 3 parameters to be checked
The distance between boiler and shower should be max. 30m. This distance is in 99.9% of households below 30m. Should you be the lucky 0.1% that lives in a very big castle, you can contact us for a tailored product 😉
The incoming hot water should be at least 55°C. This is also the minimal temperature according to regulation. For lower temperatures, there won’t be sufficient heat available for the start of the next shower.
The system needs to recharge each time you take a shower. A minimal shower time of 2 minutes is recommended.
-
All parts are easily accessible and can be replaced in case of issues. We built a product to last.
-
Up to 3 days after your last shower, you’ll enjoy instant hot water. You can extend that time by increasing your boiler temperature.
-
The Therm-eau technology can cover a few days, but will not have sufficient energy to provide you with instant hot water after 2 weeks. The first shower session after this holiday will have the ‘old’ waiting time (same as before the Therm-eau technology), but then the system is automatically recharged for the next time.
-
No, the Therm-eau technology works on the power of water and does not require electricity. Only a hot and cold water connection is required.
-
Obviously, we want people to shower in safe conditions. To eliminate any risk, we performed extensive testing together with research facilities.
We emphasize customers to have a minimal hot water temperature of 55°C according to NEN1006. A lower temperature can generate problems in the entire hot water circuit. -
Yes, a boiler or a heatpump is required to heat the water. Heau stores energy from the previous shower session to start your new shower with instant hot water.
-
An industry standard 1/2″ thread connector with hot and cold water is required.
-
The water pressure should be between 2 bar and 8 bar. In most countries, this is the case in almost every household.
